"My visit to Mississippi State went pretty good," said Daniel. "I got to see all of the facilities and see the stadium and the dorms and all of that.
"I got to see the new football facility they are building and all of the academic facilities they have.
"I liked it. Everything was nice."
Daniel was able to spend a lot of time with his potential teammates while on campus.
"My hosts were Torrey (Dale) a defensive end and Brandon Holloway," said Daniel. "I liked them.
"I think the best part of the trip was being able to hang out with the players and just get to know everybody.
"They were all good to me."
As part of his official visit, Daniel was able to see the Bulldogs knock off SEC Western Division foe Arkansas.
"I thought the game went pretty good," said Daniel. "I watched the defensive ends to see how they played.
"I thought they played pretty good. They have some talent, but I feel like I can come in and make a contribution.
"I feel like I can come in and compete."
Before boarding a plane home to Indiana, Daniel was able to sit down with the Bulldogs' head man Dan Mullen to talk about a potential future in Starkville.
"I met with Coach Mullen, Coach Brew (Tim Brewster) and Coach (Chris) Wilson," said Daniel. "They told me how much me they wanted me to come there and be a part of the program.
"They told me that they could really use me and that they wanted me to be a Bulldog.
"I had a good time there and they are in there for sure. I liked it there, but I am still not sure what I want to do yet."
Shortly after returning home, Daniel spoke with the staff at Clemson and the parties decided to part ways officially.
"I am fine with all of that," said Daniel. "I don't have any hard feelings or anything.
"Something had to be done and we talked about everything and we decided to just go our separate ways."
Daniel was set to visit Ole Miss this weekend for the annual grudge match against Mississippi State, but those plans appear to be somewhat unsettled.
"I am not sure about my next visits," said Daniel. "I would like to take all of my visits, but I haven't decided where all I am going to visit yet.
"I don't know when I am going to decide. I am just going to take my time and figure out which school would be the best place for me."
