2014 Lawrence Central High (Ind.) lineman Kevin Willis had a big junior season on the offensive line, but is getting plenty of looks from colleges on the defensive side of the ball.
"A lot of people were really looking at me as a defensive lineman but I played offensive line last year," Willis said. "But the feedback I have received from my film is that people seemed impressed with what I could do on the offensive and defensive line."
Willis a 6-foot-3, 275 pound prospect has an offer from Indiana and has heard from plenty of other schools.
"I have heard form Wisconsin, Illinois, Northwestern, Stanford, Michigan and several others," Willis said. "I have an offer from Indiana, plus Michigan State, Illinois, Cincinnati, Michigan and Wisconsin dropped by to see me during the contact period."
When Willis takes the field, there are several things that he aims to prove.
"I would describe myself as a pretty quick player I play both sides of the ball," Willis said. "So I know how to use my hands. I know how to shed people off and block people the right way, I like to think I have good technique."
In the meantime, Willis has taken a few visits including one to Indiana.
"I love their coaching staff, they are all great coaches they know how to teach us," Willis said. "I love the campus, it is beautiful and I was really impressed on the tour I took there."
But Indiana isn't the only place that Willis has visited.
"I have visited Wisconsin, Ball State, and Cincinnati but that is pretty much it," Willis said. "I haven't decided if I will take any more this spring quite yet."
