PREVIEW 2014: Noblesville Millers

Coach Lance Scheib led the Noblesville Millers to a 5-5 mark in 2014. This season will be very experienced on defense, but young on offense. Quarterback T.C McKiernan, OL Josh Podzielinski, K Ben Rice are the biggest graduation losses.

STANDOUT

Brandon Knight (6-5, 280) is a returning All Stater on the offensive line. The Indiana University recruit leads the Miller offense

BREAKOUT PLAYER

Senior running back Hayden Stinnett (358 yards) leads the backfield and should significantly improve his numbers.

TOP UNDERCLASSMEN

Junior Jerel Youree gives Noblesville speed out of the backfield.

SCOUTING THE: MILLERS POSITION BY POSITION

QUARTERBACK
Filling the QB spot will be a big task for Coach Scheib. Seniors Carl Hardy and Austin Williams will battle junior Luke Melloh and sophomore Alex Cleverly for the quarterback spot.

RUNNING BACK

Hayden Stinnett and Jerel Youree give the Millers speed and experience in the backfield.

RECEIVERS

6-2 senior Joey Herron (32 receptions) is back as the go to WR.

OFFENSIVE LINE

Brandon Knight is joined by Jacob Reks and Justin Aitken as the returning starters.

DEFENSIVE LINE

Nick Santos and Logan Compton and are back on the Miller’s three man front

LINEBACKERS

D1 prospect Donavan Lynch (98 tackles) leads a talented LB group. Austn Ginther (101 tackles), Zach Niezer (57 tackles) and David Cory (34 tackles) also are back.

DEFENSIVE BACKS

Cornerbacks Jake Owens and Josh Gentry return as starters.

OUTLOOK:

The Millers will need an experienced quarterback to step up if they are to improve on their 5-5 record of last season. Kicker Ben Rice is also a big loss.
